I wonder if it can be fixed. I accidently transported the Laptop with the SD card inside the reader slot, but not upside. Anyway, the card is okay, I tested it with another laptop. The card now does not go straight into the slot anymore and will not be recognized by the laptop (Asus Zenbook). Is there anything I can do? I bought an external card reader now and that will fix it.

Does the SD card slot flush with the laptop frame when put in, or does it sit outside it a little? If it’s the latter it could be that you’ve bumped it in transit and you have broken the connector off the motherboard. It can actually be fixed if that’s the case, it just might not be worth it when you can use an external reader via USB also.

Thanks, yes like you said, the card sits outside a little. When I put the card in, it does not go straight in like before. It’s okay, because I can use an external reader, just a bit disappointing, because the Zenbook is just 1 month old.
