I have an LG C1 and an LG soundbar connected to its E-ARC port. Due to some sound output compatibility issues with the Apple TV I have it connected to one of the soundbar’s HDMI inputs so surround sound works for everything otherwise non-atmos/DD content is flattened to stereo.

With this setup, whenever I turn on the Apple TV it goes to all the correct inputs (TV on soundbar, soundbar on Apple TV) but after 5-10 seconds the TV will change inputs and often won’t switch back until I button mash on the magic remote. Sometimes the TV will swap back to the incorrect input again!

I’ve tried disabling the CEC option on Apple TV and turning the TV and soundbar on myself but the issue persists.

The reason I’m asking here and not in the LG TV sub is because my Nintendo Switch is connected the same way and this problem has never occurred so I believe the problem must be with the Apple TV. Also tried connecting my PS5 and XSX the same way and had no issues.

Has anyone had this problem and been able to resolve it?
