Which phone is going to give me the best bang for my buck? (USD)

I need a phone to handle everyday applications and use.

Calls, texts, elevate, YouTube, reddit, web browsing, decent battery, maps, and decent antenna.

I don’t game, I take care of my phones, im not rough on them, use a case.

I want to be able to use it for at least 2.5 to 3 years.

Real world users of these phones. Help me.

    In my opinion buy the normal s23 if you can it took me so long as i was choosing between s23 fe and a54

    Now idk if your living in asia or not but if you are then buy the s23 because it has the snapdragon 8 gen 2

    But if your living in america then buy s23fe as it has the snapdragon 8 gen 1 but be careful with it as the back of yhe phone is glassy like and it could break like an iphone if your not careful

    S23 FE, trust. I Just returned the A54 this week , it’s a amazing mid range , 4 years of updates BUT if you’ve ever used a flagship , you will feel it’s stripped down , good but no DEX, and other features. it’s about average with the s21 5G yet the s21 is still better if that helps . For me, and my money S23 FE all day, and that what I got and glad I did .

    I have both. And I noticed you didn’t mention the camera in your needs. So the A54 would be what I’d recommend. It’s amazing phone for the price, especially if you don’t plan on upgrading for several years. The camera quality is ok compared to the S23 FE, which has an amazing camera for photographers.

    I just changed to a refurbished s21 ultra for 344 12/256gb. It is much better than both for far less. Back Market has them with 1yr warranty. It gets Android 14 and 15 plus support through 2026 so still a great phone. Size is great and good cameras too. It still one of the best phones made. Battery life is great too. Mine is like new, I bought last month

    those two are not even in the same ballpark.

    Compare A54 to S21 FE. They are in the same range and S21 FE is the better one.

    If you can grab the S21 FE Snapdragon 888 version then that’s the best bang for your buck.

    S23 fe if it’s the snapdragon variant else get the a54 or even the a34 which has a better soc as compared to a54’s exynos

    I’m using A54 right now and I would not recommend it. The camera is horrible, it laggs all the time! I cant open apps by clicking on notifcations because then the app will show me a white screen - in the worse case the whole phone will stop working and i have to restart. And several time it reset to default over night and i woke up to everything being gone.

    If you want to stay on safe side for future than s23 fe. But if you are not paranoid user who gets upset ap some stutters once a week than get A54. Currently A54 is kore than good enough.

    Honestly there is no bad choice there. Obviously, if the budget is tight, the A54 should serve you just fine. I’d look at the Black Friday deals and choose from there.
