So basically I need a max for school, it needs to last 4 years at least I need it to be not to heavy and slim or something that I can carry in my backpack. I was thinking

1. MBP 14inch M1 Pro 2021 base model
2. MBA M2 (but idk if I go with this do I go with upgraded ram or storage? I have 2TB iCloud but would like to store a lots of the data locally. At school I don’t use it for anything intense, but at home maybe now and again I do do some tasks that require ram)
3. MBA 15inch base spec
4. wait and see if there’s more options at apple event on Monday. Hopefully we get something cheap and cheerful (probably not knowing apple) I don’t want to spend to much max 1200£ my mum has offered to pay(big apple fan and so am I) but she will only go for apple brand new or apple refurbished. I really don’t want her to be spending an arm and a leg when she can save at Amazon or other sellers Please give me reasons on why she should go somewhere else instead directly from apple. I said Amazon but she’s having none of it, I think she’s worried about getting scammed for some reason ( she saw that someone’s high end GPU got swapped for a brick and now she hates Amazon.)

Any suggestions on where to get the mac (defo refurbished unless it’s a really good deal new)refurbished needs to be same standard as apple refurbished (got a 2015 MacBook Pro from back market and quality was shit for the best option.
