Hi I’m wondering if anyone from Samsung monitors this sub could possibly say if the Tab S8U is already EOL in terms of OneUI updates. My S23Ultra just got the 6.0 update and I much prefer it.
Better posting in Samsung members app where they do monitor posts. And no the Tab S8 is not EOL, Samsung roll updates out in steps, not all at once.
Tab S8 ultra is fully supported with updates until at least April 2024.
Tab devices always get the updates a few months later than phones unfortunately.

Tab s8 ultra will get OS updates up to one ui 8 (android 16) and then another year of security updates. So 2026 is when OS updates stop and 2027 is when security updates stop.
The updates for the tablets always take a little longer to be rolled out compared to the phones.
My tab s8 ultra had 5.1.1, while my s23 was stuck on 5.1. come to think of it, my s23 is still on 5.1, while my tab s8u is still ahead on 5.1.1. both have the October patch though. You didn’t get 5.1.1 on the tab? Or just not realize the tab was already ahead of the s23 in support for a few months there?
Non foldables and tablets don’t get the x.1.1 releases as far as I’m aware, due to them being feature updates aimed at tablets and foldables
