Spamming the button will in most cases make Steam think your account has been illegally accessed, and restrict you from making any purchases for a few hours. It happened to me before.

Don’t keep pressing it, just try every few minutes, until the servers or website are working properly.

Otherwise you may miss your chance entirely.
