This is really annoying… since the 17.1 update, the homescreen background changes to the color of whatever app is first (music app/bright red). It used to be a dark color that never changed. Now imagine in my dark room a bright red background. It’s really annoying. Any way to have a static color background?

Settings > Accessibility > Display > Contrast - Reduce Transparency > On
Given the anticipated UI changes in tvOS 17.2, this should become a non-issue in the near future.

I’m pretty sure the background colour is actually whatever screensaver is playing, it is for me. When you press the back button at home you can see your screen saver.
