I’d like to re-purpose my old i7-4790 (install ROON ROCK) but do not want to dish out $$$ on a motherboard.

I do have a ASUS ROG LGA1155 mobo and all memory required. I do not need speed, nor do I plan to overclock it.

Will it run?

    Should sell the MB and buy the correct one or the other way arround sell the cpu and buy a 3770
