I’ll just consolidate it here as there’s a lot on this 3.5.5 update -

SteamOS 3.5.5 is finally in stable!

4 things to keep in mind -

1 - SteamOS 3.5.5 contains a BIOS 118 update. There’s a chance that the EFI entries will get messed up, and SteamOS will seem to “disappear”. It’s an easy fix and I have a quick guide here how to fix it -

2 - BIOS 118 you cant overclock. Need to downgrade first and then run the unlock tool. I’ve created Steam Deck BIOS Manager to easily automate this -

3 - If you overclock and need vangogh oc fix, you need to recompile it for 3.5.5. ive got a precompiled module here -

4 - Running android on SteamOS 3.5.5. You will need to re-run the installer to easily install waydroid -

Check my github / channel for some stuff I do with my Steam Deck.

BTW Clover script for dual boot survived the SteamOS 3.5.5 update, although i’ve been on 3.5.x for quite a while now.

Happy gaming everyone!

Go to Settings > Developer Options Disable the Unified Frame Limit Management

Reboot and you will get the unlocked refresh rates back 20-70Hz.

I plan to release an update on that script once i get my OLED. Minor change just sanity checks -

If OLED do nothing and exit, if LCD perform the changes. Hope i get my OLED soon
