It’s possibly the worst update I’ve ever tried on any device, my series 8 is garbage, I don’t understand anything.

    PSA:

For those who just updated their Watches, be advised that for the next 48 hours or so after the update battery drain is worse than normal as various background tasks (normal post-update tasks) finish working; your battery life should return to normal after those 48 hours. This is normal, and occurs with Android watches, phones, and all tablets. It’s normal and not an OS or watch defect

I have 86% on my 5 year old Series 4 Apple Watch. I took mine off the charger last night at around 10pm and it has 49% battery right now which is 20 hours later. I will put it on the charger tonight again and wear it overnight while sleeping after it’s fully charged.

Apple tech-support told my daughter and I that both of our watch batteries Are no longer good and we would have to get new ones to the tune of $100 each. When I told them no, this has something to do with the update last night and they hung up on me five times. I had to call back six times before I got someone here in the US and he walked me through fixing it and getting into my watch, and my phone doing some diagnostics and then having to restart it. Now it’s working fine. Besides, the battery draining super freaking fast I had to tap my screen three times to get it turned back on just to show me the time and I had to hold the Crown to get the watch to open up.
And now they want us to trust them with another update on our phones tonight !!!

My S6, even when running it as a beta, has never experienced any of these battery bugs.

I still get a consistent 30 hours out of it

I just got a new refurbished S8 from Amazon so idk if it’s because my battery health is 100% but so far I’ve been going 27hrs and still have 38% and I’m running iOS 10.1
