    2015 – minor processor bump on the MBPs, introduction of the 12-inch MB with a single port… everyone suspected a major redesign in 2016. If you had to buy a MacBook 2015, pulling the trigger on that was rough.

      I second this.

      I had a maxed out 2014 15" that I bought in January of 2015. I wanted a 13" but even after maxing it out, the 15" was still substantially more powerful and a better fit for my needs. Even then it never performed all that well (especially when it would use the horrendously awful integrated graphics instead of the Nvidia card) and had to be sent in for major repairs multiple times because it would just randomly stop working. I definitely got my money’s worth with AppleCare on that machine though.
