    I’m technically illiterate - can anyone tell me what this means? I use the dock with a TV, not a monitor, so I’m not sure if or how it affects me.

    So hang on, I have a 3rd party dock. If I docked my Steam Deck to a VRR display through my 3rd party dock would the VRR not work?

      Don’t know why you got a downvote. I have this question too. I didn’t realize it was dock-dependent. I thought as long as the TV supports VRR I’m good but this makes it sound like you need to have a dock that supports it.

      Official dock has firmware and can be updated. Our 3rd party docks aren’t as smart.
