Was gonna gift my original deck to my sister for Christmas, but in the end we’re getting her a reconditioned 512gb LCD and my husband is getting my old deck. A deck for everyone!

My LCD Deck is absolutely perfect. I have zero regrets buying it, and neither should anyone else. It’s literally what every PSP owner dreamt of owning someday, to have your games go anywhere with you. Such an incredible little machine.

That’s the way people should be handling this. Plenty of people out there who want a Deck who can’t afford one.
The only thing about the OLED that I care about over my deck the 500 gb one is the extra storage.
I firmly believe there is no such thing as a bad Steam Deck!

but then it booted up fineNow that the OLED is released, I can now buy the LCD Steam Deck at a cheaper price.

The beauty of the Steam Deck framework is how everyone can customize their system exactly to their liking. I think the Deck HD is absolutely not worth the hassle, but for others it totally is. That’s how a product should be.
not the size of deck that counts its how you use it
SD on 3.5.5 is now a beast tbh (in my case, some games play much smoother and adding color customization gives the deck a new meaning of life)
I still ordered the OLED LE since I’m going to turn my LCD Deck into a Windows Machine
