I’m a carpenter by trade, so the holes on my phone always fill up with dust/sawdust/dirt and I can always clean them out pretty easily with a needle, but no matter how much I try to clean out this hole, my phone’s sound is always distorted and crackly. My guess is either there is dirt on the speaker diaphragm that is preventing it from vibrating properly or the diaphragm has been perforated. I don’t want to bring it in for repairs/cleaning because I know they will charge a lot of money for that. Does anybody know any effective way of cleaning in there?

EDIT: It’s probably worth mentioning that I only bought this phone about 4 months ago!

I’ve seen PhoneRepairGuru inject iso99 into the speaker and using a sound clip to help eject the iso99 mixed with gunk. You can also do this with distilled water, it’s probably better for the speaker membrane than iso99.
