I’ve had the ally for a few months now after having the steamdeck for a few months. It’s about the same honestly, unpopular here but I’m from a 3rd world country and pirating is a pain in the ass on the deck while windows just works. Sure the updates suck but once I got past that, gamepass just worked without any compatibility issues, everything windows im used just worked the way windows usually does.
The steamdeck was not a complete xbox/playstation or Nintendo experience but a midway between those and the necessary pc customization, it worked mostly but customising was a pain.
It comes down to what the user is experienced with and is comfortable with, one experience does not invalidate another, I’m completely opened to installing a steamos based OS whenever one becomes available dual booted but for now steam on windows has a big screen mode so I’m not missing that experience in particular

I swore off pixel 6 after them neutring the usbc display out, can’t use my nreal air n that’s a deal breaker
