I have no complaints. But, be sure you know what you’re buying. It’s a modular phone with a focus on longevity and as ethical a supply chain as they can affect.
The trade-off is that you’re paying as much as you would for a better-spec phone. So, as long as you go in eyes wide open on that then I think you’ll be happy enough with the choice.
I mentioned in a post on my phone that the battery drain was bad. /u/sentientbubble shared this link https://forum.fairphone.com/t/fp5-battery-life/100561 which led me to disabling 5g. That drastically improved battery drain for me.
Through the Android settings, I also turned off fast charge and set it to not charge higher than 80% (both things which should prolong battery life).
To move things from the app menu to the main screen, hold down on the icon on the app menu until you get the chance to move it. Drag it up and over to the screen you want it on.
