1 year agoI really don’t care what Nvidia cards have been doing. I “suddenly” care about it because idle power usage has jumped from 35w to 90w going from a 5700 XT to a 7800 XT.

Underclock and undervolt the 7800 XT and you’ll have pretty much the same performance at much less power draw than the 6950 XT.
Not sure I’ve ever heard of this one before, and I’m using two DisplayPort monitors and one HDMI on my 7800 XT.
You could try asking u/AMD_Vik to see if he knows anything about it, he’s very knowledgeable and might be able to help.
