I own the 14PM and the P8P. Now that I’m back on Android the 14PM will be getting sold soon. iPhone animations are a lot slower and even reduce animations just flashes real slow to the next page/app. Android is faster overall, but inconsistent, for example Reddit is better on iPhone. Jittery scrolling plagues the P8P but I also had this problem on the S22U when I had it before the iPhone. I prefer Pixels over Galaxys because I’m out of that tinkerer stage, Samsungs have way too many features at this point. I’ll take something that has enough customization over the iPhone but not as many as Samsung. iPhones get better support for apps but ehh I don’t need that many. The only gripe I have is Google still needing better hardware, Exynos chips should be a crime at this point if Samsung fans hate it why would Google fans like it. Lastly, Google still falls behind in battery performance. I’ve tested it with my 14PM, when the P8P had no eSIM active they were pretty comparable. Now that it’s my main phone, standby time on the iPhone just slaps the Pixel in the face every time. Mind you guys my iPhone has 91% battery capacity after a year, compared to the P8P at 100%. Samsungs has improved on this going from the S22U to the S23U, I just hope Google follows suit.
I just saw the Google Pixel thread you made and was like why is this thread repeated lol I’ve used most devices because I like tech. Short and sweet answer. Currently using iPhone 14PM, I like Apple because it just works hardware and software cross-talk is A1. It’s hard to leave ecosystem once in though more so it has gotten boring over the years, Apple has really slowed on innovation.
Samsung is for the power user in me, the years I’m not on iPhone I usually go Samsung plus it has the end all be all package. More features then most people know what to do with. Best displays if you like the punchy look, not for accuracy though. Owned S22U in the past.
I also like Google because their software is the best imo when it comes to android. Fastest updates, pretty much the iPhone of android. I would have kept my Pixel 8 Pro if it wasn’t for battery life. iPhone had faster charging which was a shock.
Trying out the OnePlus Open right now, very iPhone-esque OS, kind of buggy though. Fast charging is everything. Hardware is similar to or surpasses Samsung often.
As far as foldable’s though it was a good contender, however I’ve decided I’m sending this back and just going with the Fold 5. Tons more accessories for Samsung, and it was pretty hard finding a case for the Open.
