  • I have a 14 Pro. I tried the 15 Pro and returned it. I fully realize the 14 pro is still top of the line, but regardless:

I just didn’t like the way the titanium felt. For some reason to be the stainless steel just feels more substantial and solid, and I normally like light weight things. I’m probably in the minority but I like the way the 14 pro felt better.

And yeah, the battery life didn’t seem great. Granted the 14 Pro’s isn’t exactly amazing either but it gets me through the day.

I’m going to wait for some refinements to the new titanium build. But honestly, once the standard series gets 120hz, I’ll probably stop buying Pros.

  • This is unfortunately pretty common. If you shine a flashlight into the camera lenses more often than not you’ll probably find some dust underneath them. That one is more apparent though.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro. Mine has a few bits of dust underneath two lenses but it doesn’t effect my photos.

They swap it out with another one, chances are it might have it too. Maybe just not show quite as bad. They are mass produced devices, and dust is everywhere. It doesn’t matter if it’s super duper IP 6000 resistant, dust is all over and it WILL get in there eventually. Just look at the back of your camera modules and see how much dust they collect for example. There’s no way few specks aren’t making it in.

I stopped letting it bother me. If it starts affecting my photos then I’ll reach out to Apple.

  • The fit and finish and fluidity. I really do like Android phones, I think they are cool and packed with nice features and customization. Especially the Samsungs.

But the iPhone just works. It has a level of polish that I really have never seen an android reach before. My immediate family and close circle of friends are all on iPhone, so having seamless iMessage and FaceTime is great. My family is setup with location tracking. I’m able to freely troubleshoot issues and questions my non tech savvy parents have.

The apps just work better. Everything from the media and sound, banking, shopping, utility, it’s all just simply better.

I like that if I’m ever in a dire situation I can go to an Apple Store for assistance, and also that apple’s customer device is actually good. I’ve always heard horror stories from Samsung or google for instance.

The only thing I like better about Android is the ability to drag and drop files using a computer. My workaround on iOS is using OneDrive. But that’s okay for me.

I’m not even a big Apple fan myself. The only other Apple device I have are AirPods for exercising. But they got the phone right.

I personally think the 13 is superior, a much more modern design and camera system.

But if you are happy with your SE, an SE 3 will pretty much just be exactly what you’re using now, just marginally better in every way.
