Air Cooler is your problem IMO.
Get a 360 AIO if you can afford one?
There’s some affordable deals on eBay at the moment especially if your an eBay plus member. I just bought a Cougar Helo 360 and with my plus discount only cost me $165.00 from Computer Alliance. Plus I got free two day delivery.
I switched out an Alienware motherboard (Intel CPU) to an AMD B450 and AMD 3100 without an issue. After Windows had loaded it installed all the necessary drivers and was good to go.
I would normally have done a new install of Windows but in this instance it didn’t need it.
I think gone are the days of Windows XP etc where you had to do a full reinstall of Windows.
But if you want piece of mind? Sure do a new install.
Problem is some commercial software may be linked to your hardware ID. But that is easily changed. You will just need to know what your current hardware ID is before installing Windows…
How do you mount the AIO?
Do you use a criss cross pattern system?
For example turn each screw a half a turn in an opposite pattern.
Do this until you feel a slight resistance on all screws.
Then use a quarter or less of a turn on each screw continuing in the opposite pattern.
You do this until the screws bottom out. This way you know that each screw has even pressure and the block is mounted evenly.
As others have said apart from the LianLi option. Arctic Liquid Freezers are your best bet. The radiators themselves are thicker than the others which means they cool better.
Plus the main pump has a little fan on it to keep the VRM’s cooler which in turn extends the life of your motherboard.
Been using them for years.
Although in saying that. I am currently doing an upgrade to a 13600K and MSI Tomahawk motherboard.
But on eBay last week I saw a Cougar Helo 360 which was $209.00 but with my eBay Plus membership only cost me $160.00 and I got free two day delivery. So I thought I might give this a go after reading the reviews on it. Plus you can easily refill the coolant and it actually comes with a bottle of coolant included.
Plus I bought some Cougar Vortex fans to replace the ones that come with it.
