Disagree; I think it’s pretty much the perfect size. I use it to actually write significant amounts of content. If the pages were any smaller, I’d have to flip to a new page constantly. My work flow relies on being able to see a reasonable amount of what I wrote at once.
Edit: Also, reading pdfs would not properly work anymore; A4 pdfs are just readable on the screen without zooming as it is.
I’ve never missed that much while it wasn’t there, but the straight line feature is just so good and convenient now that it exists! Really smart, and for once a feature I can already tell that I’m using all the time.
Yeah, this is sadly another of these features where it’s hard to believe that rM haven’t implemented it natively.
I’ve been wanting this since I first got my rM1 a long, long time ago (much more than e.g. straight lines, which are happening in an upcoming update); here’s to hoping it’ll happen eventually.
But why? 1GB ram is obviously enough for the rM use case of writing notes. Why would it need more?
Thinking that you nee a bigger memory just because time advances is a bit silly. The rM is not a tablet that runs applications with increasing resource demands, but a digital notebook whose computational needs in terms of function are comparable to computers of, like, 2 decades ago (or even earlier). What’s innovative about it is not its computing power and memory, but the smooth function of the e-ink screen and handwriting.
