Rubbish problem but quick fix might be a cheap usb to usb-c adapter off Amazon or somewhere. Shouldn’t be more than a few quid.

Do you have a wired keyboard you can use? I’ve heard that’s one of the solutions.
I think the fix is to select Previous A which will load your previous install, allowing you to try and update again (this issue has come up a few times recently - best to check)
