I use a MacBook for basic needs. I have an 8GB M2 Air, I don’t really need a MacBook for what I use it for, but I’m in the ecosystem and enjoy what Mac has to offer within it, I love knowing that if and when I’m ready to push my MacBook further, I’ll be able to comfortably. 8GB is enough for me and likely always will be enough.
Everybody of course is different, but I’m an average user and it’s more than plenty for me
I’d love to be able to start a little entry on my iPhone after work or wherever, then pop on my Mac and expand on it in more of a long form entry when I’m home, or even the morning after once I’ve had time to sleep and reflect on the previous day, even my iPad with my Apple Pencil to jot down my thoughts.
Apple is usually pretty fantastic when it comes to syncing and having everything uniform within its ecosystem, really beautifully done more often than not, Journalling would be great for that, yet they’ve simply skipped that part here.
It’s a little disappointing that we’ll prob have to wait until next year at the earliest for iPad and Mac versions.
Journal really seems like one of those apps that should be on all devices for at least the purpose I mentioned above surely?
I don’t love the floating plus button personally. I thought it’d look a bit nicer but maybe it’ll change throughout the betas - probably not but maybe
I’ll be upgrading to the noise cancellation AirPods 4th gen I think. Looking forward to these. I’ve had AirPods 2, and currently have AirPods 3 since launch.
I’m in England, my longest friend has an Android device. I still text him in the Messages app. He’ll use WhatsApp when sending pics and links, but I’ll text him normally always, I prefer that over WhatsApp.
It’s really not a big deal. Use whatever app you wish. Apple doesn’t need to support RCS
