Honestly don’t even think you should be considering ANY of the X3D processors if workstations tasks are a big must from this computer. Just get the 7950X, save some money, and take the small hit to gaming performance.

The biggest thing they need to get figured out is ray tracing. If they can match NVidia there, while continuing to be the price leader, most of the other shit doesn’t matter for AMD’s target audience. They’ve matched or beaten NVidia in raster two gens in a row, they need to refocus their efforts now. I truly think it was embarrassing how well Intel nailed ray tracing in their first go, while AMD is still so behind after two gens.
