Im thinking of not using a screen protector on the etched LE version and later installing an oled glossy screen from ifixit, then installing a screen protector. I tend to accidentally drop things on the steam deck or pass out asleep and drop the steam deck lol. The steam deck is so sturdy already so I only worry about scratches on the screen. I hope valve can see that people are not liking the etched screen and offer a glossy oled screen for the steam deck 2 in the future for the higher tier or LE versions.

I bought mine around 1pm on 11/16. I kept getting an error saying it was out of stock after entering my card info, or an unknown error that said to try again in a few minutes or contact support if it continued. For both errors I would remove it from my cart, them go back to the Buy button and refreshed the page until the out of stock button changed back to “Buy Now” until it finally let me go through the whole process.

Update: I received the tracking number today/Saturday but UPS hasnt picked it up yest and am not sure if they will tomorrow since its Sunday. I should receive it this week hopefully.

When it would appear out of stock, I would refresh the page until it appeared as in stock “buy it now”.
