Broadcom really should be in that listing….
Synaptics and Infineon also have product lines branched from that. And Redpine (now in Onsemi) have some extra features for low power.
Marvell and NXP also figure into V2X where those others don’t always have parts to meet temperature requirements.
Or WD flash needs to merge with Kioxia long term and it doesn’t matter whether it is still part of WD devices long term. Maybe Kioxia is the buyer instead?
That said I’m skeptical that this is the right move in light of Samsung (who has clear leadership) being the most about vertical integration.
Will be interesting to see what their next generation can do.
I wonder if Apple would ever give an official statement that this has happened.
