ask the seller to install coconutbattery and take a screenshot of the battery details - the production date, capacity, etc. will be visible. I’ve seen customers who had 0 charge cycles after using their MacBooks as desktop computers for several years. I don’t think this is good for li-po batteries in terms of maintaining their capacity
If the remaining battery capacity is more than 85% then this will be an excellent choice. If less than 80%, be prepared to replace the battery. And it would be nice to see the battery status in MacOS - it should be “normal”
The battery is designed for ~1000 full charge cycles. What is the remaining battery capacity in percentage?
Try turning off the power and all cords from the laptop and pressing the power button for 10-15 seconds. Then connect the power back and try turning it on. On the same model I had a problem with a dead battery and a dirty magicsafe contact
