Who at your company came up with that list. $300-$600 and then a $1500 laptop ?

If you are doing design, programming, video editing etc then the Alienware otherwise just go with the more compact option that won’t take up a lot of space in your home.

Unless your school requires it (really don’t think that’s the case) or your current 2 year old laptop is broken then get the m2. Why would a 14 year old freshman in highschool need a very expensive laptop ?

Got a MBA back in 2014 because at the time it was the only laptop, to my knowledge, that would run for 10 hrs from battery and was able to somehow stack multiple discounts to bring the price to a little over $700 (tax included). Needed it to take notes at a conference that I was attending to get ideas for my thesis and my original laptop would stay for for more than 30 min off battery (the auditorium I was in did not have power plugs for laptops and my handwriting is so bad I’d not be able to understand what I wrote after 1 day. Doctors would be jealous of my handwriting)
