There is minimal difference across brands for RAM power consumptions as they follow JEDEC standards. Increasing RAM capacity very slightly increases power consumption but it’s not noticeable. The best option is just to get the cheapest 5600 mhz kit (unless you want to game as well in that case you might want to look for a CL40 kit).

As with any shipping company, a small number of packages can get lost or damaged in shipping. You won’t really hear people post about positive experiences but you’ll definitely hear people about bad experiences. Realistically, if any shipping company lost or damaged a significant number of their packages, they wouldn’t be in business. I’ve had several deliveries through Fedex and not even one has been lost or damaged.

If you have an AMD Framework, the reason why it won’t connect to wifi is because there are no wifi drivers installed. To bypass this, press shift + F10 or function + shift + F10 which should open up a command prompt. Then type in this command oobe\BypassNRO and press enter. The laptop will restart and when you get to the network page, it should allow you to bypass it. When you finish setting up Windows, run the Framework driver bundle then you’ll have wifi.

  • In my opinion, that’s not a fair comparison. It sucks that your laptop got damaged in shipping but it can happen with any product. The important thing is that Framework will be issuing a replacement for you. Unless they specially said it would take a month, please be patient and allow the process to occur. Also, if you were in batch 10, there’s no guarantee that you would have received your laptop before the holidays.

  • Since you are in the EU, you should have 2 years warranty so write to Support and they may replace it under warranty. Even if they don’t, you only need to buy a replacement trackpad and not the whole input cover which should be cheaper. If you want to try to fix it, you can try realigning the trackpad. If you do attempt this, be sure not to overtighten the screws as you can easily strip them and make sure to apply enough downwards pressure.
