I find some of the negative comments targeted at the kid really concerning. We all said stupid shit at that age. The only difference is that now kids have access to social media at really early ages.

I agree, Cables are ugly. Apple should actually go a step further and do this with the rest of their lineup like the mac. For the iPhones the device should shock you for using it with a cable.
