Look into using the best you can afford and look into undervolting and even limiting a bit the higher end. Losses are fairly minimal and offer a good bit of heat reduction.
Unless you’re over clocking, in that case I don’t know what you’re doing that needs so much performance but would recommend you look into something custom built.
Typing is trash at moments. Make sure you’re on 17.1 and if you are, try using Gboard.

I finally upgraded my 12 since I said I would if they GOT USBc… the 12, I waited years before replacing the 6S since I wanted a higher refresh screen but they didn’t deliver and my job required an upgrade… if I would’ve had another year I’d probably had gotten the 13P and wouldn’t have much reason to upgrade now tbh, since I think the 13p got a speaker upgrade over the 12 also which was a nice feature the 15pm actually brought me.
You can limit it and get probably better performance at the same wattage, that’s not a big deal
