For me the deck sits in the same camp as my PC, if something breaks and it’s no longer operational it’ll upgrade. If it’s suddenly struggling to run the majority of what I want to play, I’ll upgrade.

Steamdeck is Linux, right now the major hold windows has over Linux is its ability to run every game out of the box. If MS removed that barrier and made GamePass work on Linux I think we’d finally have “this is the year” come true

Question to those who use windows only, how is the performance over steamOS? I assume you lose access to the tweaking of settings and stuff. I was tempted to throw windows onto it for my gog collection but I’m worried the performance will take too much of a hit for it to be worth it
