I like the new buttons. I never owned an LCD myself but I tried one from a stranger and I like the buttons on the OLED better

Not to just go against the other commenter, but my Deck feels quality and looks nice. I do prefer the look of the grey sticks (I think they are cool) but the black sticks are cool too

Also, can confirm VENT SMELL

I ordered mine 36min after it launched, and the tracking shows that it is in my home state now so I should be getting it today

this is interesting though because Valve did say that they found the hall effect sticks unreliable at this time

I would not want to try any farther than 100hz

probably already started alongside the OLED but is just still deep in development while Valve waits for AMD to make some leaps in computing

they know that SD2 should probably try to have 60fps as the frame target and theres just not an APU that can do that at the same low TDP that SD1 goes for 30fps

lol why do you need wifi when its not even on

u either gotta look up tutorials on how to tune the trackpads to try and get good with the right one for precise aiming and using the stick for general looking around

or find a tutorial for using gyro aiming combined with the stick

you don’t understand that OLED has come a long way from when it first started showing up on phones and TVs and stuff

it’s a non-issue and will be a non-issue until you eventually decide to stop using the thing in 5 10 15 years or you upgrade

I am buying an OLED because I didn’t go for the steam deck originally but the improvements valve made are enormous

I do wish it had a few things:

1. Obviously performance similar to the Legion Go / Ally but at the same Steam Deck 3-15 watt power limits. Hopefully AMD has some magic in 2025

2. Even more internal physical space efficiency for even larger battery capacity

3. 90hz VRR and more AMD magic with upscaling

4. Larger right trackpad with better polling rate and accuracy

5. slide up screen with keyboard under

unfortunately there is no way to set your location for delivery in steam without purchasing a product, and you have to fully complete the purchase for the address to save, however no matter what if you have an address it will still pull up the page, you will just have all the address info already pasted there, saving time for you lucky ones

unfortunately for people like me, who has a different address in steam than my actual address because I have moved at some point, there is no way to change it so you’ll have to type your new address hopefully really fast :(

add the funds into your steam wallet and dont forget to calculate any tax added on. like for me, the 512gb that i’m going for is actually over $50 more expensive then the stated price after tax in my state
