Feels substantial enough for me to understand why people are annoyed who bought it recently when you consider they paid a similar price for what is pretty objectively an inferior product with not enough time to feel like they actually got any milage out of said product. In a way I find it ironic that they did a good thing by keeping the price of the new product down low, but that is the same factor that makes people who just bought the old one feel like they’ve been ripped off.

I got mine (256gb) 50 days ago in the sale, the kicker is the current standard price is now $40 cheaper than what the “sale price” was. It honestly feels like the sale was just a masked stock clearance.

I have very mixed feelings, the deck still does everything I wanted it to but I feel mildly shafted by the deceptive marketing / not correcting misleading media statements; defo would have waited if there was even a hint that a refresh was coming. I’ve defo lost some good will towards valve from this.
