similar boat, fp6/e. what you probably really want to do is reconsider your music consumption in the first place.
im coming from youtube music, and ive found several front ends that i can log into my account and access playlist. im mostly liking Velune currently. but for just the ability to look up a track and play similar stuff, get a youtube music frontend.
id say start prioritizing local files and/or a selfhost option. ive dipped back into piracy (seeker fdroid) to fill the gaps. bandcamp will sell you most of your favorite records digitally. load it all into a jellyfin server or something and start rebuilding your playlists over there.
you can probably find a tool to download your spotify playlists, so spend a day knocking that out. honestly even screenshotting them can give you something you can recreate down the road.
or, hell, set your computer to record desktop audio and queue up all your playlists then turn the speakers off. later chop that audio up into each playlist.
there’s also stuff like pianobar which is a cli pandora client that i quite like.
i listen to primarily internet radio these days, so im not quite so stuck on spotify type services. WFMU is my favorite, but there are other great ones like SomaFM, BBC etc.
good luck!

definately try some other local players from fdroid. if this is a problrm across the board you may have a faulty audio hardware or os install. i wouldnt think thats the issue, but who knows
