If your wife can’t differentiate between a press and a hold, that’s on her.

There genuinely cannot be a good reason why you can’t take it off for showers like a normal person would.

The SE doesn’t have ECG. If you need that, then a series 9 (or one of the older ones, they got ECG from series 4, but don’t go that old). If you don’t, get the current SE.

Just peel it off. No need to replace it. It just breaking in your pocket should be proof enough to how useless these are.

I mostly use it to skip songs and I love it. Just raise my wrist and double tap. Probably look a bit silly with long sleeves, but eh.

As stated above, the watch will not work with your phone. You’d need an older used one that hasn’t been updated to watchOS 10. And you’d be stuck on watchOS 9 until you get a new phone.
