Two years ago I had a $500 purchase coming through UPS so required signature. It was left in front of my apartment and marked as signed without me ever signing for it, they didn’t even knock or ring the buzzer. I got it in time fortunately, but I called UPS to report it and they took it very seriously that the driver faked a signature. My point is whether you choose it or not, it’s not a guarantee. Best bet is always hold it at a UPS store.
