Get a 10980xe or 10960x. It will transform your X299 platform. I believe with the 7800x you only had 22 pcie lanes available, with the cpu upgrade you will have 48 lanes, so with an ASUS hyper card you can add 4 nvme drives, a second 2080ti card and still have lanes available for pcie add on cards. Just be sure to get a noctua D15s cooler, or a good air liquid cooler. Good luck.
