It seems odd how much it varies. It’s more an issue of how much of a fault it is, can it be fixed and why it’s happening in such an expensive device. Does feel like a manufacturing issue especially if it wasn’t there in previous models.

It’s noticeable when there is no other sound coming from the deck, so on the menu but also in game if it goes quiet. It’s a static buzz.

I have the headphone jack static issue. I want to know what’s causing it before deciding on if a return is needed. What should I do? Just message them and ask about it?

Have you tried starting it from desktop? It needs to go through some of the rockstar launcher screens.

Mine has a quiet high pitched whine, is that the same? It’s as if it’s on standby rather than fully powered off. I guess some power is still being drawn somewhere. Only noticed it when the surrounding area was quiet.
