I got mine earlier today and saw this post right after. Checked my deck and sure enough, two dead pixels. Confirmed that the supplier is BOE. The pixels are stuck on purple/violet and one is on the top left while the other is on the right side. Guess I’ll send in a RMA and hope for the best.

I would have never noticed them if I didn’t check and honestly in normal usage, the pixel density of the screen is high enough (plus my deteriorating vision) that I can’t see it if I’m not trying to find it.
I would have been perfectly ok with proceeding without a RMA but Valve stepped up and proceeded to start the RMA process without any fuss.
Wondering how they will handle this situation though in terms of replacements. I wouldn’t put my money on them replacing each deck with a Samsung display. If it’s a replacement deck, it’s possible to also have a BOE display again with the potential of having even more stuck/dead pixels.
Hopefully not.
