I had a heck of a time getting a Samsung TV to work with the dock at a rental house.
The solution I found was a combo of a setting on the Steam Deck to force a safe external resolution under display settings, and a “troubleshooter” on the TV that didn’t really do anything. Then I unchecked Automatically Set Resolution on the Deck and set a resolution that made sense. Wasn’t sure if the TV was 4K or trying to be extra smart smart for no reason.
