  • No. The bigger iPhones have some horrendous UI that makes using an iPhone harder to use with one hand.

    The 2022 iPhone SE is not only better to use with one hand, but using it with two hands…works just fine. Even the keyboard is better than the iPhone 15 since it’s just a tad bit smaller but easy to tap on everything very quickly. The iPhone 15 keyboard is more spaced out and annoying of having to adjust your thumbs slightly more for fast typing.

  • If it looks anything like the iPhone 14, Apple can fuck right off. Not even the iPhone 15? Seriously?

    The iPhone 12-14 series is dogshit with that boxy design with sharp corners. The iPhone 15 does have a boxy design but the corners are actually rounded like the iPhone 11 series and older. The best of both worlds.

    Now the SE is going to use a massive 6.1 inch iPhone screen with sharp edges? Even the 13 Mini would have been tolerable because it was significantly smaller and easier to hold on the end. Heck, I’d even be fine with the 6.1 inch iPhone 11 because the corners won’t cut into your hand and that phone is even bigger than the 12/13/14 series lol!

    Whatever. I’ll stick with my 2022 iPhone SE until it stops getting security updates 5 years from now. I’ll just keep replacing the battery if anything.

    It’s usable. Provided you have a 128 GB OG SE.

    64 GB of storage is horrendous in 2023. People will say that you don’t need that much storage but these folks are all foolish. A simple app like Gmail is like 455 MB big now. Twitter is like 300 MB or something. Now if you have all essential apps and maybe one or two games installed, you’re almost at 35-40 GB used already.

    With the 128 GB, you don’t have to worry about the storage too much for daily apps. Next will be the battery life. If the battery was recently replaced, you’re good.

    Also being on the latest iOS version will guarantee you that you will have the most recent apps that can still be installed today.

  • If you’re talking about the DPI (not PPI) then both the iPhone 11 and the 4.7 inch iPhone 8 and 2020/2022 iPhone SE all share the same DPI of 163. That means the overall font size and UI is EXACTLY the same size along with the keyboard height (not width).

    The 5.5 inch iPhone 6/7/8 Plus models and the iPhone X and later all have slightly lower DPI, which makes the fonts and UI just a bit bigger. I suppose that’s just Apple thinking people are more comfortable with a bigger iPhone with a slightly bigger UI.

    Now if you compare the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12/13/14 side by side, the iPhone 11 shows much more content than the iPhone 12/13/14, despite both of them having a 6.1 inch screen. That’s because the DPI for the 6.1 iPhone 12 series and later is slightly lower.

    Also for reference.

    DPI = Dots Per Inch

    PPI = Pixels Per Inch
