I play with right trackpad a lot but it isn’t the most comfortable thing in the world. I basically forget about L1 and R1 as they are too uncomfortable to use quickly.

Put a shift mode on the right pad and turn it into 4 outside buttons and 1 middle button. For a lot of FPS games it will be enough but as I play through Turbo overkill I’m starting to run out of comfortable buttons to use.

Steam input let’s you map anything to anything. Before you load up the game click on the controller icon on the right hand side. Edit layout, in the “buttons” tab you will find the L4, L5, R4 and R5 buttons. Click on one and map it to whatever you want. You can even do long press, double press, rapid fire, toggle etc.

Steam input in incredibly versatile (if somewhat buggy). I recommend you look up some tutorials on it

Most of PS3/360 generation was the dark ages for PC. Everything was made for 360 first then ported over. This was true until around battlefield 3, far cry 3.

So the pc version may not be great but they shouldn’t be any worse than the PS3 versions. I played through all 3 max Payne games on the deck and didn’t have any issues.
