It’s the easiest to use handheld by far. I came from an ROG Ally to the SD OLED and have zero regrets. I hated dealing with Windows on a system without a mouse/keyboard.
Just keep in mind the default graphic settings may not be optimal. You’ll need to keep your expectations in check and use low to medium settings - which will look amazing and run well on the Deck. It’s not a “console experience” in that sense since you sometimes need to tweak settings. That said, once you find the optimal settings for a game you don’t have to worry about them again.
I only have Koss KPH30i and Sennheiser HD58X, both great open back headphones. These don’t have any static or popping on my LE OLED Steam Deck. Plugged in and on battery, latest OS.
