I just want to share my experience in simple points . This is my second Apple TV . I sold the first one . Am kinda super happy every time I use Apple TV with my SONY.

  1. No ads
  2. Home Screen is more like 4k unlike pixelated ones found in other platforms.
  3. Impressive horsepower packed in a small box , everything is smooth even after years .
  4. Simple and pleasant UI
  5. Years of support .
  6. Better privacy.
  7. Multiple apps can run in background.
  8. Nice integration with other Apple products like iPhone , AirPods
  9. I like the remote , it just works with no problems .
  10. Maybe in future I would love to see more games with console level graphics as well as native higher refresh rate .

PS: hopefully TIM won’t ruin this product by coming up with a PRO version.

For me it’s watching Apple TV + I’ve never seen more clearer video Visuals. I really enjoy shows with different backgrounds and B - Rolls like Mosquito coast . Every season has a different theme and feel . If only the other streaming platforms were on top of the video quality like Apple 🔥

I absolutely love AppleTV, I recently gave my old 1st Gen 4K one to one of my roommates because it’s Wi-Fi is so good that, unlike with her PS5, she can watch literally any streaming service without stuttering or buffering, she already loves it.

I’m seriously considering buying another one just for my room.

My Fire Stick 4K Max 1st gen was the 2nd best of its generation but after a year got slow.

So I looked at the 2nd generation they made of it and thought it’s barely any more powerful and is $60 while I could spend the extra $20 and buy an Apple TV 4K 2nd gen.

So I went with the Apple TV 4K 2nd gen and despite it being a generation behind it’s still generations of performance higher than my Fire Stick and I doubt I’ll ever switch back to any other media players ever again.

The remote is great. The integration with AirPods is seamless and feels surprisingly delightful. Very easy to “cast” or “mirror” things from phone to ATV — easier than with Chromecast.

I love my Apple TV. The only complaint I have has to be that the audio is a lot quieter compared to the fire stick. When we would watch content on the fire stick the volume would be between 38 and 45 max. With the Apple TV I’m starting the volume at 54.

My other issue is probably a simple fix. My parents own a fire stick and can use the remote to turn on the fire stick, tv, and their sound bar. If the tv is on a different input you just have to hit the home button and the tv switches to the correct input. I tried to see if the Apple TV remote can do that with our tv and it can’t. It sucks because I’m getting calls almost daily about how Netflix or some other show has a black screen but audio plays

Yeah it’s wonderful. Idk how people can stand to use Roku or those shitty usb plugs. I forget with gen it is but I’m still using the one from 2016 and it still works well

On top of all that, the seamless popup of the keyboard on my phone any time a keyboard is presented on the tv. And filling in passwords from my iPhone keychain is seamless too. Air play, all apps in one place that is accessible, integration with TV Shows and Movies, what’s not to like? It’s just so damn pleasant! I have 4 Apple TVs, and have bought them for everyone close to me as gifts. They all use them as their only source (except maybe cable) on their TV.
