Great my gross skateboard inside my clean backpack
Such shit comments here.
Anyone who owned a boosted board knows how awkward it is to lift from the trucks and carry around without dragging.
This design has a nice handle and can be held naturally, and easily set below the table at a restaurant, or carried around a store.
They did a nice job.
Why were you mall grabbing your board in the first place?
It’s a commuting tool: you go over dirty sidewalk, puddles, sometimes plain dirt/soil.
When you mall grab you can carry it with literally one finger and avoid having mud hands. Try grabbing a 15 pounds wet, muddy board by the side with only two fingers pinching the first 30mm of the board, it’s ass and not the good kind.
Is everyone in this subreddit this fucking sad? lmao. This looks great.
Hell, I walk around campus with my Onewheel GT. This just seems excessive.
Ironically this folds to about the size of a onewheel, so you’re agreeing with the design and mocking it at the same time. I guess you never owned a boosted board or you’d know the pain of dragging those around by the trucks through a store or fitting it under a restaurant table. Onewheel or folded longboard are the perfect size to carry and stow.
Such a dumb design, part of what makes a good commuter deck is the flex
I’ve been searching for something similar to this. A thin “seat” that unfolds from a backpack or attached to a backpack. My wife is disabled and we often end up in seats without backs, which she cannot do for more than a few minutes.
If they can make a longboard like this, surely they can make a seat… anyone know of a similar product?
I had a boosted board. They are not very safe. It’s better to just bike.
I’m totally sure we won’t hear about one of these going exothermic in a classroom. Totally.
This reminds me of the folding ski idea on “Curb”, probably not going to work out….
I work in a university and we don’t allow any electric scooters, skateboards or one wheels into the building, you can lock it up outside with the bikes.
Students bringing it in their backpacks doesn’t solve anything, they’ll still have to leave it outside.
I like the idea but that griptape is brutal.
Just ride a regular longboard that isn’t a thousand dollars or more. I love my Loaded tan tien. It’s light gets you exercise and you can pump like hell on it.
Wouldn’t fit with all the books.
You think people still use physical copies of textbooks in 2023?
Your age is showing.
Yes I consider those big workbooks textbooks. They do weigh a lot and do have a lot of them. Why do you guys think you know everything I have kids that go to school and they have backpack full of books not every school has school issue iPads
😂Boomer
See you are a dumb ass that thinks you know it all. I’m Gen X.
I have a feeling this might be college students. I never brought my text with me to class in college (other than the occasional open book exam.)
yeah but now you have a dirty skateboard in the same bag as your laptop
Where do you put ur guns ? 🇺🇸
Wow you’re SOOOOOOO funny. You should be a comedian!
Americans don’t need somewhere to hide them lol
Don’t kids just carry tablets with e-books these days?
Laptops with 500 dollars worth of online access to information that expires after a semester
All of my kids’ text books were on/are on their school issued iPads, and have been since 6th grade. Which was 2014 for my oldest. I’m doubtful many kids are still carrying books in their backpacks.
Especially when the schools require flimsy transparent backpacks
Books? I thought we banned all those.
not to mention absurdly heavy total weight… this will fail… nobody will buy it.
Many schools aren’t even issuing books any more. Teachers just do handouts and powerpoints. Then students rely on Google and Youtube.
Folds the wrong way guys. Jfc
If it folds truck to truck it is smaller than deck to deck.
I can see that clear as day now and can attest my genius to way too many dabs last night.
All good, I’ve insisted that running on a treadmill was easier than running on the ground for some reason or another. The culprit? You already know lol
Plus the battery and motor isn’t exposed on the outside.
This is why I am not an engineer. Me smart like dump truck.
It also comes with kevlar and tier 3 armor plating for the US market.
Full time skateboarder/skate coach just here from “news”.
I like gadgets too, but this is r/diWhy vibes
It folds in half so it’s easier to bring to class or work. I’ll be your reading comprehension coach.
Why would I need a folding skateboard that takes up the same mass but now doubles width at the trucks/wheels?
I’ll be your “travels with skateboards as a living” advisor to the “don’t be an asshole” coach you should employ.
Great fucking sub, nevermind lol
It’s up there with folding bikes. Stupid and just introduces another failure point.
