Hello! I purchased the Oled version Thursday, planning to play a lot during Holidays if I got it in time. There’s two AAA games that I want to play on it, locally, FFVII Remake Intergrade and Cyberpunk DLC. I know those games can be run on the Deck but I wonder if it would be better to stream them from my gaming PC (Ryzen 5 7600, 4070, 32gb) than running them on the device? Thanks a lot!

I do enjoy AAA games personally on the 4k tv. That being said, I do sometimes stream onto the Steam Deck from the bed.

I have a 3080. I run Cyberpunk at 4k, ultra performance DLSS, path tracing with ray reconstruction. Get around ~70fps.

Yes, of course, there are artifacts and the quality isn’t perfect, because, well, it’s ultra performance.

However, the extra pixels from 4k look fantastic, and there is a mod that allows you to change the number of bounces for ray tracing, giving you a boost in performance.

Personally, I would trust DLSS to upscale to 4k, rather than render (say) 1080p and have the TV itself upscale to 4k.

Point is - it looks FANTASTIC to me on a 4k screen. You have somewhat similar specs and frame generation, and if you render it at Steam Deck resolution, it will look great.

    Stream it!
