Hi.

I am having trouble copying some files I need to put onto my deck. I have tried over wifi with Warpinator but I cant see my pc. So I am looking to either use a USB cable from my pc to the deck, or just put the SD card in my pc. I am trying the SD card method but obviously windows wont see the SD card partition. Can anyone recommend software to run on my windows PC that I can use to manage / copy files to a ext4 formatted SDD card? Or what other options are there?

Your only option to do this is Linux File Systems for Windows, AFAIK.

Honestly, if you just want files copied, a thumb drive would serve your needs much better.

I gave up on trying to copy through WiFi or cable. It’s much more simple and works for any devices without extra setup to just use a USB flash drive.

I’ve got a Samsung USBc flash drive for this purpose and it’s fantastic. Stupid simple drag and drop to the drive, then wherever you want on the Deck/SD card in the deck.

Maybe try FileZilla on the desktop and connect to its FTP server from the Deck (in desktop mode).

I’m not sure exactly how well it works on Windows, but I use sftp from Dolphin to share files with my desktop PC and it works well.
