is it possible for an iphone to have no battery and still be tracked? the person i was talking to said their phone was gonna die. the messages send green but with no delivered text under it. i can see theyre live location tho.

    Yes. Starting with iPhone 11, iPhones basically act or AirTags when powered down unless the switch for the Find My Network has been disabled in Settings > (name) > Find My > Find My iPhone.

    The cellular modem is off which is why it sent as an SMS, but the low energy Bluetooth functionality is still allowing other nearby devices to see it and relay its location.

    You mentioned a phone with no battery but then talked about messages sending? I’m not sure which you want an answer for in that case. To be very clear though it’s absolutely impossible for a phone to be tracked if it has no battery or even if turned off. If turned off then the circuitry is under no power whatsoever and unlike the movies it would be absolutely impossible to track.

    Is that of a ‘zombie’ phone you are talking to?, no battery, dead phone and somehow you are still able to track it?.. please tell me how is that remotely possible
