If I upgrade the LCD to latest do folks think I can then just move the 2TB internal over to the new OLED unit?

What about display settings/tweaks, will they just reset when booted on the OLED Deck or should settings be reset before moving the SSD?
Yes it should just work. It may need an update after the first boot.

It’s easier to swap ssds on the OLED, purportedly.
This has already been reported to work just fine. Make sure SteamOS is up to date first though.
